Head for the hills was the cry .. may be cooler than the 34c .. An over night spot was located on “searchforsites” Theres another van here from Giggleswick a village in the Yorkshire dales quite near us at home .Not the chatty type of northerners we are used to .. Is it us ?? Has a sniff ..clean clothes ..so we’re ok ..The Driver decides he wanted real food and proceeded to perform his culinary chef like skills and produced sausage egg n baked beans .. very yummy
A temperature drop from 34c to 15c this morning at this sleepy spot in the hills by a reservoir …
Aljustrel Baragem do Roxo is the name of the lake we think but it was a very peaceful nights sleep BUT any one considering using this spot shouldn’t bring a dog as there is a group of Wild /Feral dogs here OK with people but other dogs beware ! I can see the Res with the land around it flat and golden as the early morning sun comes up yet again warming Hetty and her Crew

MONSAREZ a hill town with a castle .. church 
and cute village or so the travel bumf said ..
They are correct .. wonderful spot .. met up with the Yorkshire couple who seem quite chatty now .. Parked up in the walls of the outer walls of the village .. perfect over night spot with lots of others .. difficult to get in if your long .. one chap bottomed out and knocked his spare wheel off .. again great spectator sport..

.. Castle walls again .. The Cook isn’t happy with heights ..but the village is superb

So tomorrow we are off to ELVAS to see The 7504 meters long Aqueduct Then on to Campo Major where there is a bone church built from the bone of the people blown up when lightening struck the gunpowder works ..
