Ladies of Spain

We bused it into Sevilla at pensioner rate with our Lancs CC bus ID .. And chuckled ..then queued with all the holiday crowds for The Real Alcazar .. Not a chore ..lots going on and a classical guitarist played as we waited to show bus pass again to get pensioners rate.. €2 each instead of €9.50 each . It pays to be a pensioner here in Spain .. And we chuckled again..
Hot hot hot and so many people… All here for the Easter processions .. Lovely ladies in their Mantia and lace veil looked amazing .. Ladies of Spain the song kept buzzing around my head when I saw one all dressed in her finery..

Outside in the square there must have been thousands of chairs for the guests to view the procession ..

A bit worring with all those people ..but off we went to look around the Alcazar .. Interestingly reminiscent of Mogul India .. I think the gardens were the top of the to see list .. Cool .. Water … Fountains .. And the smell .. As in all of Sevilla at this time of year the Orange and Jasmin blossoms are in abundance. .

Having “done” The Alcazar we headed into the Jewish quarter of narrow alleys for lunch of our first but not our last (hopefully) Paella .. see photo
